Cleaning and maintenance
Services may include regular pool maintenance, one-off cleaning, green pool recovery, water testing, water balancing and other agreed pool-care work.
These Terms of Service explain the practical conditions that apply when you request a quote, approve work or book a service with Litra PoolCare. They cover service scope, site access, quotations, payments, cancellations, pool chemicals, equipment work and circumstances that may affect the result or timing of a job.
These terms apply to pool services supplied by Litra PoolCare where relevant to the particular quotation, booking or agreed job scope.
Services may include regular pool maintenance, one-off cleaning, green pool recovery, water testing, water balancing and other agreed pool-care work.
Services may include equipment inspection, fault diagnosis, replacement planning and agreed pool-side installation or plumbing work.
The scope of each residential visit depends on the service booked, the condition of the pool and equipment, safe access and any additional work approved by the customer.
Commercial work is provided according to the agreed service frequency, site requirements, reporting scope and any separate quotation or service arrangement.
Quotes are prepared from the information reasonably available at the time. This may include photographs, pool dimensions, reported water condition, equipment details, fault descriptions and information supplied by the customer.
A quotation based on photographs or information supplied before attendance may need to be adjusted if the actual site condition, pool volume, equipment condition, access or work required is materially different from what was described.
If additional work is identified during a visit, it is treated separately from the originally agreed scope unless the customer approves that additional work.
Availability is confirmed by suburb, job type, travel requirements and scheduling capacity. Jobs outside the regular service area may be considered individually, particularly where equipment or installation work is involved.
The customer is responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the pool and relevant equipment at the agreed time, including gates, equipment areas and any access instructions required for attendance.
Work may be postponed, stopped or limited where access or site conditions create an unreasonable safety risk to people, property or equipment.
Please tell Litra PoolCare about known equipment faults, recent chemical additions, unusual pool conditions or access issues that may affect the work.
Pricing is based on the quoted or agreed service scope. Chemicals, replacement parts, equipment, specialist trade work or additional labour are charged separately where they are not included in the agreed price or maintenance plan.
Invoices are payable according to the payment terms and due date shown on the invoice or otherwise agreed for the job.
If site conditions reveal work outside the agreed scope, any additional work and associated cost will be discussed before that additional work proceeds.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a booked service, please provide at least 24 hours' notice where practical.
If a cancellation or call-out fee applies to a booking, it will be disclosed before the booking is confirmed. Any such charge will reflect reasonable costs associated with the booking or reserved service time and will remain subject to applicable law.
A disclosed call-out charge may also apply where Litra PoolCare attends the property but the agreed work cannot proceed because required site access was not available or another customer-controlled condition prevents the service from being carried out.
Litra PoolCare may need to reschedule work because of unsafe weather, unexpected equipment requirements, access restrictions or other circumstances that make the planned work impractical or unsafe.
Pool treatment is based on the water condition and test results available at the time of service. The amount and type of treatment required may change where there is a high contaminant load, algae growth, heavy rainfall, debris, equipment failure or another condition affecting water chemistry.
Follow any instructions provided about swimming, filtration runtime, brushing, backwashing, follow-up testing or other steps required after treatment.
Chemicals added by the owner or another person after a service may change the water balance and affect the result of treatment already carried out.
Recovery may require more than one treatment or visit. The time required depends on water condition, filtration performance, contamination level, weather and how the pool responds to treatment.
Water treatment cannot reverse pre-existing deterioration, damaged surfaces, failed equipment or faults that require repair or replacement.
Equipment work is limited to the scope agreed for the job. Diagnosis may identify a likely fault or the next practical test without establishing every internal or intermittent failure during the initial visit.
Replacement equipment is selected and installed according to the agreed scope, the existing pool system and relevant manufacturer requirements.
Work that legally requires a licensed electrician, gasfitter or another licensed trade is outside ordinary pool-service work unless it is separately arranged through an appropriately licensed provider. Litra PoolCare may identify when another trade is likely to be required as part of the job planning.
A pool service may reveal conditions that were already present before attendance. Examples include leaking pipework, worn seals, failed pumps or chlorinators, damaged wiring, blocked filters, structural leaks, damaged pool surfaces or incorrect previous installation work.
Unless those items form part of the agreed job, identifying an existing issue does not mean its repair or replacement is included in the original service price.
Some pool conditions change after a service or are influenced by systems and events outside Litra PoolCare's control.
Heavy rain, storms, heat, wind, leaf fall and other weather events may change water chemistry, contamination levels and pool condition after a visit.
Power outages, timer changes, equipment failure or equipment being switched off may affect circulation, filtration, chlorination and heating after service.
Plumbing, electrical, landscaping, building or equipment work carried out by another person may affect the pool system or the condition recorded during an earlier visit.
Changes to valves, controller settings, chemical dosing, filtration schedules or equipment after a visit may affect the service result.
Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or another applicable law where that right cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
To the extent permitted by law, Litra PoolCare is not responsible for loss or damage caused by circumstances outside the agreed service scope or reasonable control of the business, including inaccurate information supplied before the job, pre-existing faults, unauthorised changes after service, third-party work, power interruptions, extreme weather or failure to follow service instructions.
Information on the Litra PoolCare website is provided as general pool-care and service information. Pool systems vary, and website information does not replace an assessment of the actual pool, water condition or equipment where a site-specific diagnosis is required.

The terms applicable to a particular booking are the terms in effect when that service is agreed, together with any specific quotation or written service conditions provided for that job.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws applicable in Victoria, Australia.
